I’m a mom of four, a wife of 26 years, an author, co-host of the Spiritually Hungy podcast, and the co-director of a global spiritual organization called The Kabbalah Centre. I’ve spent my life researching relationships. I’ve counseled 1000's of couples, attended more than 500 weddings, and have seen and heard it all at all stages of the relationship. Michael Berg has dedicated his life to making this ancient wisdom accessible to modern seekers. Immersed in the study of Kabbalah from the age of 14 under the guidance of his parents and The Kabbalah Centre co-founders, Rav and Karen Berg, Michael possesses a deep command of its teachings from the full range of Kabbalists in the lineage. Over the course of ten years, he completed editing and translating the first-ever unabridged 23-volume English edition of the Zohar, the central text of Kabbalistic thought.

Michael has played a central role in bringing Kabbalistic teachings to a global audience. His body of work includes nearly 20 books—many of which are international bestsellers—and acclaimed translations of foundational texts by Kabbalist Rav Ashlag. Through his writing, lectures, and spiritual leadership as the current co-director of The Kabbalah Centre International, Michael continues to guide students in connecting with the Light of the Creator and applying Kabbalah to achieve personal transformation and lasting fulfillment.

The late Rav Berg began as an ordained rabbi and businessman who wanted to make a difference in this world. Upon a chance meeting with Rav Yehuda Brandwein, one of the greatest kabbalists of the 20th century, Rav Berg knew he had found his teacher, and traded in his business life for an opportunity to study with Rav Brandwein at The Kabbalah Centre in Israel. After he returned to New York, Rav Berg maintained a written correspondence with Rav Brandwein who passed on his legacy as director of The Kabbalah Centre to Rav Berg in a letter before he passed away.

Upon receiving the responsibility from his teacher, Rav Berg made it his life's mission to preserve, unveil, and make relevant the historic kabbalistic texts. He continued the legacy of The Kabbalah Centre by editing, writing, printing and distributing all that he learned from his teacher so that it could be shared with others.

Rav Berg made the study of Kabbalah available to all by creating a foundational program to teach all its core concepts and help students formulate a greater cognitive awareness of the spiritual system of the universe. He published many books, including Kabbalah for the Layman, Consciousness and the Cosmos, Navigating the Universe, The Kabbalah Connection, Energy of the Hebrew Letters, Immortality, The Power of You, Wheels of a Soul, Taming Chaos, and Education of a Kabbalist.

He and his late-wife, Karen Berg, opened the doors of The Kabbalah Centre to all who desire to learn these universal principles. Following Rav Berg's passing in September 2013, his son, Michael Berg and his wife, Monica, continue their work and vision as leaders of The Kabbalah Centre.
